Thank you for the inspiration @teacherishappy. Such a great idea to have them somewhere in reach of my students rather than taking up wall or drawer space! . . . . . . . . . #posters #classroomdisplays #anchorcharts #inspiredbyteachers #inspiringteachers #classroompinspiration #classroomorganisation #schoolholidays #aussieteacher #aussieteachers #aussieteachersofinstagram #aussieteachertribe #teacher #teachers #teaching #teachersofinstagram #teachersteaching #teachersfollowteachers #australianteachers #sydneyteacher #teachinginaustralia #iteach #teachingsupport #supportteachers #teachersonholidays #teacherswholovetoteach #teacherlife

Today in maths groups we had to complete a “secret maze”, inspired by @winnerwinnermrsskinner. It worked in a similar way to the old show Go Go Stop (what a throwback) but students had to tell me where they were moving as they did it - forward, left or right. They would have to guess where to move next. If they were right, they could carry on but if they were wrong they went back to the start and the next team member started again. The trick was remembering what paths you had already tried and which squares were correct/incorrect. When they successfully got to the end I would show them the map I had drawn. Every group successfully solved at least 4 secret mazes. The kids were so into it that during wet weather recess I saw a few of them drawing their own map and playing the same themselves!
